Satanicpornocultshop's 'Custom Drum Destroyer' is a mad samplefest of all over the place general bonkersness. Much more than merely a mash-up he lifts samples from both obvious and unlikely sources and fuses them into his vision of future hip hop. It's a total rollercoaster and you never know which direction the tracks will move in next. The second track is a Necro Sand remix and is like a more mental Herbert. Lush artwork and all.

Satanicpornocultshop make puzzling, destabilizing and futuristic hip hop. One of the main features of this band is that they make music gush from the most arid field recording session. Give a Stanley knife or a red-bear lighter to Ugh and he'll make it swing in a snap.

Ugh is a real human sampler and a junk sound edit virtuoso. And that is undoubtedly Satanicpornocultshop's main strength. Just add to that an immense musical culture, a taste for ulitmate groove and pop music satire and you will have a pretty good idea of what makes the band so unique.
